I'll pass. My mother lived through being bombed by Germany and has spent all the post war years not talking about it and trying to let byegones be byegones. She avoids all war documentaries, films etc and is well adjusted for it. Israel needs to take a long hard look as to how its' own military behave against Palestinian women and children. Israel itself is now a borderline Fascist State governed by war mad zealots who want more "lebensraum"....

I agree Israel is not helping it's own cause by the sort of actions they have been taking. However, to come on here and try and equate that with the systematic murder of more than six million people by a so called civilised European state is misguided to say the least.

Of course the BBC should show documentaries to remind us about the Holocaust, for god's sake there are youths today who mix up Churchill with the bloody dog on the car insurance ads. As for your ice age remark, that is just silly.

As a matter of interest what happened to all the other liberated camps? Auschwitz was only part of the process.

The most important reason for the holocaust to be remembered is not just because of tthe 6.6 million jews murdered bu the Third Reich...Nor the 5.5 million other non jews who didnt fit into the Aryan race master plan...No one ever talks about this but I digress..

The reason we should never forget is not because its not relevt or affected YOU! But simply a lesson to remind history of the impact and the scale of an atrocity that got wildly out of control

Does it not bother you because you are not a jew or because your people have not been the subject of ethnic cleansing which was what The Final Solution was all about.

I'm not jewish and it didn't affect me but I empathise the magnitude on what this did to many famillies an friends because this was the epitome of what hatred can do by dehumanising other human beings which you did when you passed it off with
