Along with fine beers and chocolate Belgium shows how to deal with Muslim terrorists. Nice work.

Reminds me of the late great Mrs Thatcher's escapades in Gibraltar in the late 1980s. The trouble with doing away with little formalities like arrest and trial is that you might end up with a society where anybody can get knocked off on suspicion. It could be you or me next time.

Logic is truly mind numbing

You give a terrorist a trial, incur huge expense for the tax payer, masses of media coverage for their cause and some cunt of a lefty lawyer orders his new Ferrari. Or you fill them full of holes and game over. After the SAS wiped out an IRA unit the terrorists complained of brutality...they were going to blow up a Police Station btw...Hereford's response was simple. "Big boys games mean big boys rules...."

"The trouble with doing away with little formalities like arrest and trial is that you might end up with a society where anybody can get knocked off on suspicion. It could be you or me next time."
This does not tally with the actual events in Belgium.
1. A group of terror suspects opened fire on police when they closed in on them at a house near Vervier train station, Magistrate Eric Van der Sypt said in Brussels. Now you could argue that this was a lie, however.....
2. Belgium launched a series of raids on Thursday evening on a group of suspected jihadists. Thirteen people were arrested in total, and five people were charged on Friday with "participating in the activities of a terrorist group", prosecutors said.
Logically, it is much better to arrest suspected jihadis so that you have a chance to understand more about their network, plans, contacts etc. etc. The facts of the other raids back this up.

Unless it is absolutely certain that the alleged terrorists fired at the security services first, then I'd say they were entitled to be processed and tried.
The late great Mrs Thatcher of course didn't bother all of that, she just had suspects gunned down on suspicion and when they were posing no direct threat.
Sorry if a little comparison of similar situations is mind-numbing for you.
Real Jews

The media has been very quick to emphasise the anti-semitic nature of what has been going on. Sadly recent events have played right into the hands of the far right which is bad for ordinary Jews and Muslims as well as other groups.
Unfortunately few people realise that genuine Jews who practise their religion correctly are deeply opposed to things which quite obviously provoke Muslim extremists. One of these things is the state of Israel and the support given it to it by the USA and its allies.
Real Jews are actually deeply opposed to the very existence of Israel. My point is that it is a shame that genuine Jews are becoming a target, when they do not deserve this. The media of course is failing to connect the foreign policy of the USA and friends at least since 2001 with terrorism in Europe. So-called Islamist terrorism has not occurred spontaneously.
Have a look at what this man has to say about Israel, given that he is an orthodox Jew. It might surprise you because the media usually fails to differentiate between Zionists and Jews. The result of course is great potential harm to the Jewish community in general.

"The media has been very quick to emphasise the anti-semitic nature of what has been going on."
Well, slaughtering 4 people in a kosher supermarket, attacking a Jewish school in Toulouse in which the attacker chased an 8-year-old girl into the courtyard, caught her by her hair and shot her at point blank range does have a feel of anti-Semitism about it, I suspect.
"Unfortunately few people realise that genuine Jews who practise their religion correctly are deeply opposed to things which quite obviously provoke Muslim extremists. One of these things is the state of Israel and the support given it to it by the USA and its allies."
I suppose if 6 million Muslims had died in Hitler's gas chambers without any great help from the Allies in saving them, then I can perhaps understand that Jews like Muslims would want their own homeland if they did not already have on and do everything they can to avoid another holocaust.
" Real Jews are actually deeply opposed to the very existence of Israel. My point is that it is a shame that genuine Jews are becoming a target, when they do not deserve this".
And what about 8 year old girls of Jewish origin who may be in favour of a state of Israel, do they fit into the bracket of "not genuine Jews" and therefore deserving to be a target?
"The media of course is failing to connect the foreign policy of the USA and friends at least since 2001 with terrorism in Europe."
Some media does; some media does not. There were a million people that demonstrated against the prospect of a war in Iraq on the basis that it was illegal and would make the problem of terrorism in Europe worse anyway.
A little more balance would not go amiss Locationsfinder, otherwise the cycle of endless violence in response to, one of your seeming favourite words, "provocations" will continue through the centuries in which the innocents on all sides will continue to be slaughtered.

For chuff's sake don't bring the Jews into the argument. They are better at being professional victims than the Hillsborough mafia...
Btw Gibraltar was a success, ably assisted by Spanish anti terror officers who did a fine job tracking the IRA through mainland Spain.
At least watch one of the links David.....

If you had actually watched one of the links I cited your polemical post about non-genuine Jews as you put it, the holocaust and the need as you see it to issue me a rebuke would have been answered.
At the time of the destruction of the Temple in the time of King Solomon, the Jews were forbidden by prophecy to ever make their own state. Even during the diaspora and the inquisition when the Jewish community could have easily bought land and made a safe community for themselves, but they never did it because they had been forbidden to do so. The Zionists hated the Jewish religion and were unbelievers anyway. In 1947 the 60K Jewish people of Jerusalem appealed to be ruled by an international force rather than be for part of Israel. Religious Jews who follow scripture never tried to set up their own country.
The reason why I mention the Jews is that given the opposition of those that actually practise the religion according to scripture to the state of Israel, that makes them a highly inappropriate target for what have been called Islamist extremists.
Sorry David you didn't understand my post, you got it completely the wrong way round because you don't know what religious Jews actually believe.
My hat is off to them for condemning the violence of the state of Israel and for calling for its peaceful dis-establishment. The cycle of violence can be ended that way. They say that not me, but I agree with them.
