"look out Iran, North Korea"
Look out us. It's SOP that wherever the Yanks go the British Army follow.
That'll be the case whoever becomes PM next May. None of the spineless Bastards will have the guts to tell Jeb to fight his own wars.

the least effective president has saved America from collapsing under the weight of Bush's incompetence.
Right. A bunch of Palins abound.

I was delighted when Obama became President. Here was a man of intelligence and integrity after the appalling and dim-witted Bush. I can also sympathise with poor old Obama seeing his pet projects, such as universal health care, watered down by special interest groups and the Republican Party. Yet at the same time he has not kept to his manifesto at election time eg ending Guantanomo quickly. Clearly this Cuban move is planned to restore some of his democratic credibility and is probably close to his heart, so that at this stage in his presidency he can say, "Screw Congress and the Republicans, this is something they cannot block !" From a general diplomatic point of view it is a wise and long-overdue move and on that level he deserves full praise for pushing it through and showing that his integrity is not yet snuffed out.
