Why?? The guy he shot was an out and out thug who was trying to get his gun and wouldn't have thought twice about killing him. Yes there is huge race problems in America and thee are also many racists cops but this guy is being unduly hounded.

I thought that the black bloke was unarmed - hence all the riots.

I think that it is because of America's ongoing issues with race that these riots spark into life. This may or may not have been racially motivated but it ignites the anger that is always just under the surface.
Of course they could resolve a lot of this stuff simply by making guns harder to obtain. That way the police wouldn't feel that every black guy they stop is carrying.

Once a black man is involved he mustve been guilty!
i do love you armchair commentators who are quick to judge on what you read or hear. This is why I think people are like sheep when they cannot think between the lines or accept that things are not always what they appear to be.
I wouldnt even suggest the officer shot him out of racism. I dont know that officer. What I suspect was the sheer shock the boy grabbed his gun and challenged the officer that he wouldnt shoot him.
So he shot him in a spontaneous burst of "fuck you" attitude or fear the boy was going to use his own gun on him.
If the black kid was guilty of anything it was being a cocky sod. This has all the hallmarks of Mark Duggan which triggered the London riots
The reason these riots spread is quite simply down to fear...oh and the opportunity to loot too
If a bunch of black blokes took to the streets to shoot white folk I bet you will all be doing the same thing.
Black people or just any people at that are worried when anyone gets shot because their instant thought is "Oh my god that could be me!"
When they see an officer not get charged for it when he couldve done anything else but kill an unarmed boy, people will feel its open season on them
To quote: "A riot is the voice of the unheard" rings true in this case
