Nasty Nigel's snout in the trough

That leader of the people's army, that scourge of the political establishment, that salesman for the "new politics" appears to be going in for some good old-fashioned expenses fiddling.
Nasty Nigel is under investigation by the Electoral Commission after it emerged that he had claimed ?205,000 from the taxpayer for office space that was provided free of charge by a UKIP supporter.
Initially, Nasty Nigel said that he would be happy for his office accounts to be audited "if it would settle the argument"
Alas that man of the people backtracked a few days later stating he would have his accounts audited when the other MEPs had had their accounts audited.
Unfortunately, Nasty Nigel's attention to detail is a bit lax. Apparently, all UK MEPs other than those from UKIP have had their accounts audited.
Would anyone let this lot run a whelk stall?

Good little earner for Nasty Nige though. ?200K for nothing and he's only an MEP in Strasbourg when he doesn't even believe in the EU.

Would you have him do what the IRA, I mean Sinn Fein, did and be elected but not take their seats in protest?
Or would you have him be like the EU and work from inside to change things?

But David, one must ask oneself why they have risen to such prominence in a very short space of time?
I don't understand the old politics too well, a bit confusing at times!!
Give me the lowdown please.!!. I your own delightful words.

I would rather he did not snaffle ?200K of taxpayer's money for nothing.

THey have been going more than 20 years. People seem to like one idea parties e.g. in the case of UKIP, get out of the EU.
" I don't understand the old politics too well, a bit confusing at times!!"
I've noticed.

Ask one of the "employees" .

Correction. People like their idea. They don't have "ideas". Any other "ideas" that they might have e.g. flat rate of tax, privatising the NHS, they seem to vary from week to week.
