Thank goodness.

What l could not stand would have been for this twat to have been found not guilty and then appear on our evening television news with his smug face telling everyone that it was a plot by self deluding women destroy. 4 years in prison and his name on the sex offerners register for life may just wipe the smile off his face.

Read recently that 5 of his clients were the young white trash thugs that were charged with the murder of Stephan Lawrence.

What l find refreshing about this prosecution is that this man by the very nature of his business must have had so much dirt on people that he felf invunerable, this result is a major win for the CPS.

My personal feelings about Max Clifford don't come into this. I was surprised that such a powerful and rich person of influence got found guilty. He can still appeal his sentence. Most people involved heavily with the tabloid media are of dubious character. If i remember correctly he schemed with a woman who made a false allegation of rape against a Tory MP. The MP proved in court he didn't do the rape by producing phone records. I think Clifford is on record saying he hates hates the Hamiltons.

If you can be that devious and manipulative it wouldn't surprise me he was guilty of historical sexual abuse where you also have to be a scheming manipulative person with no moral scruples.

'...I think Clifford is on record saying he hates hates the Hamiltons...'

At least he has a redeeming feature then. He's obviously not all bad.

He said he was told not to comment by his legal team, not even a sorry, so could we be seeing an appeal? He didn't seem to fussed or upset looking at him on the news.

Was their any evidence beyond 'she said..' in this case?

The conspiracy theorist in me finds it interesting that a few weeks after Keir Starmer and the new DPP agreed a guilty verdict was needed to avoid embarrassment and ridicule for the yewtree witch hunt, up one pops.

Yes there was a letter written by one of the victims to him that for some odd reason (hubris?) he kept at home.

Wouldn't Gary Glitter or Fredde Starr or Rolf Harris (on trial next month) have been a bigger scalp than someone relatively unknown to most people?

Any more conspiracies? Were the jury nobbled? Were they paid to give some guilty verdicts? Did they just make up the verdicts to put Max in his place?

Most rape cases are also he said-she said. Even in these cases a small minority of men are found guilty.

Just been reading the BBC Text on it cant believe these girls were so vulnerable and fell for all his lies though. There was a girl who had bit part in a Bond film he targeted too.
