I have been on quite a few occasions. The usual things, house broken in to, house,
garage, lockups and both my shops. 20 years ago this year I was set upon and
had my teeth knocked out with a baseball bat. I was 19 years old.

I wonder if the more liberal people on this site who always seem to champion the
cause of the perpetrator rather than the victim have ever been, well, "The Victim".

I found it quite bizarre, after being burgled myself (in London), the Met Police were quick to offer me counselling at every turn (at what cost?), but were never confident of 'feeling a collar', let alone securing a conviction.

Just a thought - why don't the Met divert their counselling budget into employing more officers?

was talking to a recently retired copper the other week and he was saying that coppers these days are basically not much more than uniformed social workers compared to what it was like when he joined in the 80s. There's your answer I think.

Everybody in this country is a victim of a crime committed against them everyday by this repulsive excuse of a government !

This is obviously wrong. If you look at CB's post he states

Look up "people" Essex Lad. It is plural.

Now CB may be referencing me as part of this group "people" but that too would be wrong since I am not championing the cause of any perpetrator. If a "perpetrator" of crime is arrested, charged and found guilty, I am all in favour of the appropriate sentence being applied e.g. possession of a loaded gun, many years in jail.

Keep "trying" Essex Lad, but I would appreciate if your "trying" attempts were less in number. I am "trying" to earn a few quid writing some documentation and I could do without your interruptions.
