Rebekah Brooks overload...

Since the phone hacking trial began we've had coverage every day, we hear what was said and we see footage of her and Andy Coulson arriving and leaving Court. This trial could last 6 months and we will likely have this every day on the news. Too much, me thinks! Notice how Etonian Dave is mute with regard to all of this, Brooks and Coulson are amongst his closest pals, yet from his reticence you would think he had never heard of them.

Didn't stop him from turning up to the birthday of the Murdoch pr bloke about 2 weeks ago even though they denied he had attended originally.

Ever since Cameron who initially promised to implement what Leveson recommended as long as it wasn't "bonkers", stabbed Milly Dowler's parents in the back, he appears to have gone into hiding in Murdoch's arsehole.
Having replaced one bloke, Coulson who can tell him how oiks live, Cameron is now totally reliant on Lynton Crosby, apart from Ed Miliband, to tell him what oiks think. It's been hilarious watching Call Me Dave take months to come up with some strategy as a political party that is owned by the banking sector, to counter Miliband's energy price freeze.
I suspect that if Coulson ends up doing a stretch inside, Cameron will have to emerge, albeit temporarily from the Murdoch arsehole, to apologise for appointing Coulson as his media director and giving him unprecedented access to sensitive government information, despite all and sundry from across the political spectrum advising him that this would be a wrong move.

Seeing Brooks and Coulson dragged through the mud every day is a taste of their own medicine. Some people call it karma.

Yeah, "Love cheats, Randy Rebekah and 5 times a night Coulson have 6 year bonkathon" could have been an NOW headline.
What goes around, comes around Bex/Andy!

Dave and Rebekah are, according to the TV media, part of the "Chipping Norton set", that area of Oxfordshire where they all live. I've always found this 'set' business rather odd, you hear about the 'Primrose Hill set' and the 'Notting Hill set' in London. Does that mean if I moved to one of these places I would be part of the' set'? No, I would just be some bloke who lived in that area, but if you are known you are, according to the media, part of the 'set'. Rather odd in my opinion.
Anyway, Rebekah and her husband Charlie all used to include 'LOL' in their text messages to each other. Ed Milliband used to rib Cameron that this could mean 'lots of love' rather than 'laugh out loud'. I don't think any of that crowd are laughing now - especially Brooks and Andy Coulson who might end up in prison.

I imagine Cameron will stay mute on this then when Coulson and Brooks are sent down he will try his best to deflect questions that will inevitably come at him from the floor of the House and from journalists during interviews. There is also that thing known as 'news management', something Tony Blair helped pioneer over here following the Americans having done it for eons. The week that the outcome of this trial is likely to emerge, the Government will get something into the news that they've been holding back for a while in the hope the trial outcome is pushed to page 2 in the papers and second billing on the TV news. Either that or Cameron will be abroad at meetings for a few days.

I've noticed Rebekah Brooks has much less of a smug, condescending half-smile on her face these days than she used to. Photos a while ago of her and her boss Rupert had her looking very smug, a look senior managers often have at all times on their faces because they're used to being king of the hill and everyone around them being lower than them, taking orders from them, and doing what they're told. Since this trial started the pictures of her arriving and leaving Court show a worried and more humble person. Inevitable now that she is in trouble.

I agree, this is their karma. It's nice to know the 'goes around, comes around' maxim might actually be true.

First Cameron has already promised to apologise to the House if Coulson is found guilty so there is no way that he can avoid that. In terms of "news management" if Brooks and Coulson get sent down, only a new war/invasion in which the UK is involved will knock it off the front page.
There is no escape for Call me Dave over this.
