Sat nav / Andriod APP

I have a Galaxy S3 and want to use my phone as a sat nav.
I would like an app that doesn't eat the data use age and will just work off the gps alone.
I got waze and m8 but they seem to only want to work the the data turned on ?? So either I am doing it wrong or I need another app.

Any suggestions?

I have used Co-Pilot with a nexus 7... and it works great... used GPS so you don't need a "network connection"....its fast to update etc.

The main thing is a window cradle for the car... otherwise the GPS doesn't work as well...
