I enjoy posting on here - and the replies I get from D Johnson, One Eyed Jack and a few others. There are one or two on here who are exceptionally rude and I just ignore them. Overall though it is fun to post here, can't think of anything at the moment but no doubt will in a day of two. Although, come to think of it, here is one topic for discussion: "How did the late David Frost's career go from being at the top of his game, and doing some of the most famous political interviews ever, to hosting Through The Keyhole - a programme so naff that hardly anyone watched it and was screened during the day when everyone was at work? His career had clearly nose-dived in later years". There's an interesting topic. People's views please.

Well Max, if you knew anything about Mr Frost you'd know that his career was a roller-coaster... highs included TW3 and the Nixon interview, but he also did plenty of low-brow stuff especially in Australia and the USA. Through the Keyhole was made by his own production company, and if he presented the show he could therefore bill ITV twice... once for producing and once for presenting :-) While highly intelligent and articulate, he was also a media-whore who (from accounts I have read) was also very money-orientated... in effect so long as it paid and it was television, he'd do it.

Standard practice for TV - Kelly Brook was paid twice for Celebrity Love Island: once as presenter and once as executive producer. Sarah Jessica Parker was paid twice for Sex and the City: once as star and once again as executive producer. Michael C Hall, same for Dexter.

He died worth about ?200m so was obviously doing something right.

Standard practice for showbiz ? Michael Caine will do any film as long as it pays. So did Victor Mature...

Essex Lad... I know it's "standard practice".

I was just trying to explain to Max "if there's a hung parliament will Gordon Brown and David Cameron have to share Number 10" Tranmere why David Frost did so many low-brow programmes, as he didn't seem to know!
