The trouble with knighting sportsmen is it always looks political, as you can always find someone who's done better, won more, achieved more and hasn't been recognised.

We should have Lord Phil Taylor if sporting achievements are recognised by awarding gongs.

Gongs should come, if at all, at the end of a career.

I rather agree with andy....Farah is deserving of a knighthood but not yet.
His career is far from over and he was made a C.B.E. quite recently. I do
wish Cameron would stop being such a luvvie, he seems to want to be a

He can bring attention to areas of the world and justify the aid third world countries get as an investment in people like Mo Farah. Somalis get a lot of bad press for the crime and piracy but these things are wrought form human suffering, starvation and poverty. There arre many talented and intelligent people from Somalia as well and I've met some stunning girls from there too that I wished did porn. If I had these girls I knew I would so rule the world and make slaves of men but given their muslim background not a fucking chance plus they practie genital mutilation so I'm not sure how that would look...But i digress...

If it can be used to do some good then fucking hell yeah he deserved it.

The fact that this makes you smile is because you are largely ignorant about Farah's background. It is an entirely sensible and correct thing to say that he is the best distance runner Britain has produced.
