Evidence ? You think he's put his hand in his pocket in the past and funded them ? I don't. Define 'support' ?
Life's more complicated than 'for' and 'against'. To you 'sympathetic' means 'for'. If you watched Steve McQueen's film 'Hunger' you would probably describe McQueen and Michael Fassbinder as 'cunts'.
If you watched Micheal Hanneke's film 'The White Ribbon' you would probably describe him as pro terrorist and a cunt.
All these people are trying to do is understand. They're portrayed in a particular way by journalists for the benefit of people like you who can only think in terms of 'black' and 'white'.

One of this country's greatest-ever film directors.
Saw 'Sweet Sixteen' at the cinema when it came out a few years ago. Know the area where it's set - Greenock - very well indeed.
It's a typical Ken Loach picture - (very) hard-hitting with some (black) humorous moments.
Well worth a watch, for sure, as newcomer Martin Compston gives an outstanding performance in the lead role.
