Benefit mum on 10k a month
Benefit mum on 10k a month
Isn't there a problem with the process here whereby this woman claims her children have medical conditions but seemingly at no point is she asked to evidence this ?
Surely if she had to provide evidence at the point at which she made the claims - doctor's and other professional's assessments - this wouldn't have happened ?

What's the problem? After all she's using that money living the lifestyle that Dave and co endorse eg private education rather than that run down state school.
In all seriousness the joke is that they never reclaim the money that is stolen especially as they make them do this by taking a fiver from their benefits each week.

One would think so. It is obviously a crap system. Maybe she forged documentation.
Having said that Maggie Thatcher started a process of moving people from unemployed onto invalidity benefit in order to massage the unemployment figures. Although the current coalition bang on about people fiddling disability benefits, take a look at these figures
Claimant Numbers
1979 - 1,137,000 (Invalidity Benefit)
1990 - 1,521,000 (Invalidity Benefit)
1997 - 2,455,000 (Incapacity Benefit)
2010 - 2,422,000 (Incapacity Benefit/ESA)
This graph shows the same info
So in short the bulk of people on invalidity benefit were moved on in the Tory years under Thatcher and Major and the claimant count remained steady under Labour. Not what you hear from Boy George today.
