Been using it for about four years with no problems but lately it is unstable, crashes regularly, slow to load new pages and generally a CUNT!

It is set to automatically install updates so maybe this is just a problem with the latest version which will have been downloaded without me knowing.

Should I be thinking about opera, chrome or safari?

I have no problems with it and enjoy it muchly

Chrome is the same but crashes more often.

I am always getting message crashed due to adobe flash plugin when using firefox. Pain in the arse.

Firefox crashed on me 3 times last night. It reminded me to stick to Opera which is what I mostly use. I'm not an admirer of Chrome. I've only used Safari very rarely, so I can't honestly say anything about it, good or bad.

The only thing I found useful with firefox was the adblock plug-in. Ads were so bad on some sites, that I used firefox exclusively for those sites.

Otherwise, I just use safari, being on a mac it's easier as its the standard default option.

Chrome is just a data scraping portal for google, so I avoid at all costs.

I too think the recent versions are a backward step.
The pdf viewer is a PITA, it was much better when the file opened in acrobat reader.

On this PC I've turned off automatic updates and gone back to an older version, they are all at and .

I use Firefox 20.0 (which I believe is the current version) on two Macs (iMac and a MacBook Pro) running OS X 10.6.8 (again the latest update of that particular operating system) and it's as solid as a rock.

Last time I remember things crashing was when I was using IE on a Windows PC many years ago

Thanks for your comments gentlemen. I ditched IE many years ago but found Firefox a revelation. Its crashing on certain sites, probably due to stuff
