I am confused. I was told that a mule was a crossbreed between a donkey and a horse. But then someone said an ass is the father of a mule or vice versa.

You know what? These equine shaggers should just stop confusing me with all these antics.

So what if a donkey shags a mule what does that create? Some sort of new thing called a Dule or Konkey or a Morse? The perutations are endless. and where does that leave the asses?

By the power of Google, an ass is the same as the donkey. Donkey was used for the domesticated Ass, and 'Ass' for the wild one. Somewhere along the line the names are interchangeable based on where you live I suppose.

It is quite interesting that horses and asses (or donkey's if you prefer) aren't as closely related to each other as humans and chimpanzees are, yet breed regularly.

Yeah, and the fact that we are more closely related to the chimps than the chimps are to the gorillas can only serve to demonstrate that we are also just apes by another name. If it wasn't for the fusing of the 2nd and 3rd chromosomes in the human lineage we might just have been able to breed with chimps. Half-breed Himps and Cumans might be a distinct possibility in the future.

Still........if I DID use carrots to tempt the girls, I can only thank the EU regulators for ensuring only the straightest, smoothest carrots get through.
