world gone mad

In the UK a toddler throws a tantrum, deliberately knocks over bottles
at a chemists, and after an assistant gives it one smack on its bottom
the mother is in uproar - and the chemists apologise !
In the USA President Obama compliments his Attorney-General as a
good-looker and the Press immediately accuse him of making sexist
remarks !
Has the World gone mad ? When I was a kid if I had thrown tantrums in
a shop and knocked over stuff my mother would have clobbered me and
probably invited the staff to do the same. And I STILL compliment women
if I think they are attractive, and mean nothing sexual about it. It used to
be called "good manners " !
I am truly sick of this modern pathetic namby mamby bloody world !
Children go undisciplined and have lost good manners, feminists accuse
men of sexism if you compliment a women, or of being a chauvinist if you
treat them as equals, while the British Prime Minister seems obsessed with
making gay marriage lawful and fuck the established Church !
Its all madness !

Yes the world is completely off its rocker Frank

I got a letter from T Mobile today saying that it has raised its prices in line with inflation but doesnt affect my discount on the contract.

Errrr! FAIL! !doh!

On another note, i catch anyone whooping my kid will get their head flown big time. Any whooping will be administered by me and anyone calls the police then bring ya riot shields and tazers cos they'll get some too

If my kid is being unruly I'll make them apologise. If someone elses kid is being unruly as was the case today i asked him where his parents where and he was being a bit cheeky. The mum watched how I dealt with it from a distance and was cool because she admits he was out of line. If I started pulling her kid up you can bet I'd be clawed up proper. Who is going to stand aside and watch their kid get a battering when its your job to do that

I dont beleive in smacking anyone elses kid and I would tear up hell if someone did it to mine. Though if it was me in that chemist and broke property then i would sheepishly pay for it out of embarrassement alone.

Yeah and a low life kills his 6 kids and gets 15 years whilst two coppers sell drugs and get 23 years. That's good sense eh ?

He actually got life with a recommendation he serves 15 years. I suspect his case is so notorious that he won't be walking free in 15 years and one day. As for the coppers, those who abuse authority should always get stiff sentences.

The parents of today were brought up without to much discipling and so it passes on to their kids, as for smacking other peoples kids assault is assault be it on a young kid or an adult..

As for making passes at girls i have often commented that i think they are lookers, after all you are never likely to get into their knickers by telling them they are fucking ugly !wink!

someone smacks my kid in the street ? someone out with the family unit ? Id call the police and have em charged with assault.

Simple its against the law - you cant do that. even teachers are not allowed to smack kids. its not on - bring it to my attention and let me deal with it.

You cant simply smack another person because you think they have misbehaved.... I know Id like to believe me I would but as the law stands you cant.

Agree 100%.

It was the same when I was a kid and it never, ever did me any harm and has made me the person that I am today in that I respect other people's property and show consideration to others e.g. never playing my music after 10.30, banging doors unnecessarily loud.

When I was a kid, if a neighbour, or teacher, asked/told you to do something, you did it. If I so much as flicked the 'Vs' at an adult, I would get a sharp clip around the ear for it, and you prayed that your parents didn't find out, as you would get another one. The worst was when the neighbour said they would be up to tell your parents why they had to do it. My ass would be bubbling like a casserole every time the doorbell rang.

I remember a kid who was rude to my mother was dragged up the ear, by his dad, to apologise to her. He's in his 40s now and a really, nice guy.

I can never remember a time when manners cost anything or were painful to use.
