The reforms are going to cost more money long term than they save, it's all about getting votes from the mindless plebs who aren't bright enough to know how much rubbish they re being fed.

If their was ever going useful reforms it would involve vote loosing intiatives such as Means testing to pensions and its freebies (currently 50% of welfare), introduction of a working wage, removal of buy to rent mortgages and heftier council countax etc on second homes and of course tax evasion.

So you want the housing benefit bill to be higher? Do you think that is a sensible objective?

In many parts of the North, the number of properties where there is a spare bedroom outnumbers by 3 to 1 the number of properties where there is overcrowding. This is because in social housing terms there are far, far more 3 bedroom properties than there are 1 bedroom properties.

So what is the result of "well done Dave"'s policy.

Those that can't afford to pay the bedroom tax will be forced to move into the private rented arena where rents are much higher because there are no smaller social housing properties.

Result - housing benefit bill increases.

Maybe you want that. I don't.

We need more new taxes to pay for banks fucking up the country. However i reckon the bankers and the banks should pay up not everyone else.

I rent in the private sector without any hope of ever being able to buy or get myself a nice social housing flat.

Ironically my job is making sure the vermin that the Tories are using as an excuse for what they are doing is making sure they get all their benefits and nice cosy council places.

I also used to as part as my job provide help to those whose only crime was being poor. Needless to say they get far less help than your scumbags.

Case in short..the vermin will remain comparatively untouched whereas everyone gets hung out to dry and are now branded lazy just because they are unemployed.

At least the plebs will still vote Tory.

Sack these disgraced bankers, put them in social housing with "bedroom tax" & i wonder how long it would take them to get off the dole & climb the ladder again...a lifetime i think lol!

These new rules are to keep the unemployed or the worse off on a minimum wage down where they can be easily controlled, mansion tax was a no no but bedroom tax was allowed...just that alone sums up this fucked up government.

A friend of ours was just offered a full time job in Asda's for 20 hrs a week so he now can't get the help he had with his rent because he don't work over 21 hrs or under 16.

What happened to the normal 40 hr week, the government reckon to have a minimum wage but promote jobs being offered well under 40hrs a week.

Because he don't work 40hrs a week he is not entitled to holiday pay...yes he also has the dreaded bedroom tax to pay as well so he is back to work but 50% worse off than being on the dole.

Great thinking mister Prime Minister...like the rest of his cabinet looking after their own.

Of everything the government is doing to tackle poverty and unemployment such as starving them to death and getting them killed by hate mobs convinced they're responsible for every evil under the sun, the bedroom tax I actually agree with.

Those in the private sector have not been able to claim HB (LHA)for extra bedrooms and because of the substantially lower rents the extra they are having to pay each week isn't much.

Also they can trade down and have always been able and would receive a large amount from the council for doing so as well as a another property.
