I suppose the Census was as accurate as they could make it. I completed mine as we all did, about myself and the occupants of my flat.

On a seperate issue, I recall being in my local pub when the Census lot came in, and they asked the barman (who lives upstairs aswell) who lived there. He honestly filled it out but there are many cash-in-hand, there for a brief time then move out, people who live above the pub. Within a month or two the info given was out of date. As so many people move, and come in and out of the country, the Census recently published would not have been very accurate - but as accurate as they could make it.

This whole census thing is a complete mess, I was surprised the Council Statistics office here in Wandsworth, where I live, did not query my form when I put 'UK- light to middling brown- Passport holder'

I filled mine in with a load of rubbish as well.

My form says I'm Eskimo, practising Jedi, living in a house with 15 bedrooms and 49 toilets.

The government can get stuffed. I don't see why they need to ask these questions every ten years any more.

We are living in a digital age. All this data is available from other sources.

What has it got to do with the government what religion I practice, or don't practice? They will be wanting to know which websites I visit next!

And don't give me this crap about the government need to know so they know how many Schools and Hospitals they need to build.

If they need this data for instance to know how many schools to build, how does that fit with the Tory's "Free Schools" policy?

Everything has been privatised now. Shouldn't it be up to the Private Sector to collect the data they need to grow their businesses?
