Jazz legend Dave Brubeck has passed away of heart failure at the age of 91.

Amongst other achievements in his life, he formed the first racially integrated band in the US military, whilst serving as an enlisted man serving under Patton. He appeared in a Ken Burns doc on Jazz and seemed to be a thoroughly decent and humane man.
