Great actor and he made JR such a slimy evil sleeze ball that we all loved to hate. I was just getting into the new Dallas - JR was it so now who knows what will happen. Probably find that it will be put to sleep now.

Maybe he was kidnapped by a-rab terrorists competing for Ewing Oil. They could get a whole season out of that.
