Anybody for Chelsea manager?

In May he won the Champions League and FA Cup. A month ago Chelsea were top of the Premier League. They are currently third in the League.

Despite all of that Di Matteo is out on his ear. Mind you, he lasted longer than Villas Boas, Scolari and Avram Grant.

It's a funny ole game, 'Arry.

Did Di Matteo (42 matches in charge) last longer than Avram Grant (54 matches in charge)?

Maybe Abramovich should take charge himself if he's not happy.

Apparently, the statement is based on days in charge which strikes me as a reasonable basis for comparison.

Too late. I have already got in touch with Abramovich to let him know I am available for Sunday on a pro rata basis while he sorts out the next manager(s).

I quite fancy watching the Chelsea v. Man City game anyway

Hey it's only a one day gig! I look forward to chewing gum whilst wearing a dark grey overcoat and slagging off the referee if Chelsea get beat.

Think of it more as a theatre performance than football management. I'm already working on the incomprehensible hand signals.

If I get the gig I will ask Dave Wells if he fancies the assistant's job dealing with the media post-match. Mind you if CIty win, he will have to keep a straight face.

I hope to hand over the club in excellent condition to Rafa Benitez, Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola, 'Arry Redknapp or anyone else well known who hasnt yet had the job already. Mark Hughes could be looking for a job fairly soon!

!wink!

Well if you last until January, sell Torres back to Liverpool for 5m and buy Downing and Carrol off us for 50m ;)
