Oh ffs! Stop it already! I'm sick of endless sequels, pointless remakes, and unoriginal scripts. The worst thing is, just like music, people will swallow this bull, and still go and see it. Thank fuck for British Cinema who will go out on a limb and produce stuff like"The king's speech" without resorting to "The King's speech II... and this time he's really pissed off".

Affecting Hans Grubers accent (in the original and bestest Die Hard):
"You were saying?"

They did a good job with the sequel to Elizabeth.
Sequels arent all that bad...Some have been better than their predecessors but very rarely I'll grant.
I was filled with a sense f dread that Star Wars is continuing but now I know whose involved, writing and the original creator is still on board as creative consultant I feel a lot better
All that will clinch it for me is if they bring back the original cast with their old selves but lose the ewoks and Jar Jar Binks (shudder)
EMPIRE!!!! Bsst Star Wars movie hands down!!! (thats a sequel)

The likes of Star Wars is different though, it was meant to be that way (though not sure about Jar Jar, and it was originally meant to be wookies that lived on Endor lol). And yes Empire is by far the best of them all, no question.
What I mean is great movies are getting watered down by the endless sequels ie, Die Hard, First Blood, Halloween, Predator, Superman...even Saw got tedious by the end. A couple of sequels is usually fine, but eventually they just become a joke.
