Safe in his hands

Post by andy at handiwork »

If the US put this guy into the White House come November I dont think they should have any worries. What could possibly go wrong with this new opportunity in aeronautical engineering?

There was quite a good line about the election, which went something like;

"You voted for Obama to prove you weren't a racist, so this time vote for [name] to prove you're not an idiot"

I guess that one will be staying in the cupboard this time round, though!

We have need of you again, great king.

Being "Stupid" has never been a hindrance for prospective US presidents, look at George Dubya. In fact I suspect Mitt is being encouraged by his campaign manager to look as stupid as possible! Americans don't like rich slimy lawyer smart arses, so being a multi godzillionaire means that our Mitt needs to "Dumb down" a little.

We have a similar situation in its infancy over here with Boris Johnson being considered being "too dumb" to be leader of the Tory Party. All the Labour intelligensia will be predicting a landslide victory for themselves if such a thing happened. I'm not so sure, I think these days if you were to pitch a sleazy, crooked slime ball like Tony Blair against a buffoon like Boris Johnson, Boris would probably easily win.

I reckon Mitt's supposed, "Gaff" wont be the last of many more to come and grandmas and dock workers all over the USA will love him to bits for it!

Two of the groups with the most to lose if a 'slash and burn' conservative who outsources American jobs to the far East and thinks the poor, elderly and sick are on their own, gets in.
