Her Majesty's gutter press all over this .Bloke in a crap marriage gets too close to an impressionable girl pupil and they elope.Trouble is the school knew about them holding hands and dragged their feet.Loads of people will be in the shit here except the girl who will be the 'victim'.Salacious red tops will snigger all the way to the bank and the girl will eventually tell her tale via Max and get enough for a deposit on her flat.Teacher will go to prison and will never work as a teacher again.

She is 15 so that makes him a lovesick paeodophile. No excuses, as a teacher he has broken all his contractual and moral standards. I have a horrible feeling this story will not end well.

She IS underage, and he would obviously have known that, that's what makes it worse.

Everything you say in your OP seems likely to happen. He deserves to be in trouble and never work as a teacher again though, she certainly does not deserve to earn money from it but, like you say, she will. Clifford will appear like you say, make a load of cash for himself out of it and for her too. I can see the Daily Mirror and Hello magazine interviews already, with the accompanying staged photos where the photographer tells her to look as unhappy as possible. Said photos will appear under the heading "How I was taken advantage of by a married man" - and the ?100,000 she will earn from it will be placed in a fund that she can access when she turns 18. After that there will be lots of interviews on daytime telly, a reality show or two on ITV2, and her probably appearing as a star on "I'm a Celebrity..." in a couple of years time. It's all very wrong.

Jesus, Max. Looks like you've already decided this 15 year old school kid is some money-grabbing bimbo out for a pay day.

She's a fucking kids that's fell in love for the first time in her life and the teacher's taken advantage of that. Stop trying to turn this around on the victim.

My guess is if this teacher was Asian, or black, you'd be going ape-shit.

So long as when they find her, and they will, she just goes home and we never hear any more about it, then I will have been proven wrong in what I've said. My suspicion however is that Max Clifford will be on the phone to her and her mother that very evening and they will cash in. We'll have to wait and see.

That's not my point. I'm questioning the mentality of a man that has heard about a young, under-aged girl who's been groomed, taken advantage of and taken to another country and the first thing that pops up in his head isn't anger at the teacher, disappointment at the school authorities or empathy for the girl and her worried parents, it's a critical look on how much money and media coverage she may receive once she's returned home.

It's weird.

The girl is the victim. The criminal is the teacher. Obviously young girls experiment with sexuality at that age and the name of the game for many 15 year old girls is to appear older and more grown-up/mature than they actually are.

Grown men in a job that bring them into professional contact with adolescent, potentially vulnerable kids every day know this and generally do not take advantage of naive girl/women.

I agree with Argie and Lizard.....time for a cold compress on the forehead.
