Rogue Afghan 'police' kill six NATO troops

Six Nato troops shot dead by Afghan 'police' in the last two days. This is getting worryingly familiar. Our brave lads need eyes in the back of the heads too now.Just heard some NATO clown on 'message' telling the world the only way to guard against this is to 'try and react first'.No shit Sherlock ?
Meanwhile our politicians treat us with contempt and spout on about a planned withdrawal leaving security duties in the hands of the Afghans.
The shit hole that is Afghanistan is not worth a thimble of our blood let alone the devastation of grieving families left behind whose loved ones have been killed on a totally wasted cause.

Its definitely a two way street. Individual bravery aside, neither side is covered in much glory in that forsaken country.

The only reason NATO is there at all now is because they just can't think of a way of getting out without losing face. While they continue to do this our boys and the Afghans are dying whilst the 2 bastards that kicked off this, "Adventure", carry on as usual. Warmongering, smug cunt Blair buys a new mansion and Bush lives in retirement splendour.
Interestingly both these murderers profess to being practicing Christians!
Interestingly, after 11 years, to my knowledge not even one poppy field has been burnt down. So amongst all the carnage, you will be delighted to know that the warlords have been able to continue supplying the World with heroin!
So in the end this war will be remembered, just like Vietnam, as a complete waste of time and a waste of 10's of thousands of lives.
And Blair will continue to get richer and richer! I believe he is demanding an attack on Iran now, presumably he is thirsting for yet more innocent blood!

My grandfather did National Service in Afghanistan over 100 years ago. He said they were untamable and actually loved fighting, it was part of their culture. They have neither the want or the understanding of a freely elected government and as such we shouldn't be forcing our values on them. I would not be happy if some other nation came over here and told me how to dress, eat etc. Bring the lads home and let the Afghans enjoy living in the stone age.

The warlike traits of the Afghans would have been known to the academics advising bastards like Bush and Blair. The Afghans managed to boot out the Russians for God's sake, a modern mechanised army.
This was an "Adventure" so that Blair and Bush could feel they were, "Doing something" for the "War on terror", a "Terror" that they themselves invented, ignited and have now poured aviation fuel on!

"My grandfather did National Service in Afghanistan over 100 years ago."
They didn't have National Service over 100 years ago, did they?

Arginald, my old chum, National Service in the British Army existed 1916-
1919 and again 1939-60. The last National Servicemen coming home in
1963.
So I think you are off the mark. However, I`d be fascinated to know which
unit your ancestor served with ? I am also assuming that he fought in
the 1878-80 2nd Afghan War or the 1919 one ? Any other fighting on
that bloody North-West Frontier of India might have involved tribesmen, but
the conflict would not have been against Afghans, but against Waziris,
Afridis, Mohmands and others.

If his grandad fought in the 1878 2nd Afghan War, Argie must be ready to pull a pension by now surely?
Did I ever tell you about my experiences in the Crimean War, Frank?

Pedantic mother humpers. OK my Grandfather was in the British Army and served in Afghanistan. Still thought they were a bunch of barmpots.
