It's in the Guadrain so take it with a pinch of salt. As you will already know DJ I work with some so called "disabled" claimants. Many are ill and won't be affected but ye godz some can screw the system. Motability cars for people with agoraphobia? High rate care claimant who has banged out 5 kids in 7 years? I have met a household where they were getting over ?50k nett income from benefits and thought they were hard done by.
The welfare reform is aimed at the workshy and the fiddlers, if you are genuinely disabled you have nowt to fear.

"It's in the Guadrain so take it with a pinch of salt."

Okay, they disagree with your views, which is what you really mean.

"As you will already know DJ I work with some so called "disabled" claimants"

Yes and I realise you love every second of your working life, Arginald.

The government figures show that a mere 0.5% of expenditure on Disability Living Allowance went on fraudulent claims.

http://research.dwp.gov.uk/asd/asd2/fem ... 120711.pdf

While across the DWP, it is estimated that only 2.0 per cent of total benefit expenditure was overpaid due to fraud and error.

http://statistics.dwp.gov.uk/asd/asd2/i ... raud_error

Now given the government are getting a lot of stick re. the Atos testing process, why on earth would the government underestimate the level of fraud? Of course, they wouldnt. They would massage the fraud figures upwards like all governments massage statistics.

"The welfare reform is aimed at the workshy and the fiddlers, if you are genuinely disabled you have nowt to fear."

This is complete and utter nonsense.

Claimants who get judged fit for work, lose their disability benefits. Yet 40% of those who appeal, get the judgement overturned. The huge backlog of appeals means that they are without disability benefits for substantial periods.

How can that not create fear?

Feel free to reply in your own time if you have the guts.

Meanwhile I will leave you to project the hatred you have for your own working life onto the disabled.

"What have the disabled people done to deserve this?"

They have been in the wrong situation under the wrong government.

The last 10 years have seen the greatest offshoring of profits and nationalisation of the losses ever seen in British capitalism. It wa the collapse of the global banking system that created the huge debts that the UK along with many other developed countries are faced with.

The Tory led coalition answer to this situation is to use a once in a generation opportunity to implement their policies to crush the public sector and privatise whatever they can get away with.

Those who caused the collapse of the banking system go scot free and the rich who fund and own the Tory party will not be targetted. Those who are being targetted are the unemployed, the disabled, public sector workers etc.

In order to get the support required to implement these measures, the Tories have to divide and rule for which they have had enormous success amongst the gullible and stupid within the UK. For example, disability hate crime has increased enormously under the Tories as a result of their endless focus on "scroungers" as opposed to the rich tax avoiders in society.

Like I said, wrong people under the wrong government.

And you seriously believe that the Two Eds will be at all interested in targeting the rich when they get back in by default in 2015 David?

Well I would have to be an enormous optimist to expect a Labour party in government to "target the rich" based on their performance under Blair and Brown.

However given the Tories are owned by the rich - they were close to collapse financially until Cameron became Tory party leader and hedge funds, the City etc etc started putting in substantial sums, Labour are unlikely to do worse than the Tories in that area.

Time alone will tell. There is certainly a need to have more radical Labour values in government rather than Tory lite.

And on the public sector privatisation, support for the disabled and the poor who really need help, I would expect them to be substantially better than the Tories.

You`d have to be a huge optimist to think Labour will get back in at the next election.

My mum has and still is going through this. Heart trouble, and scholiosis, she hoovers and she spend a day in agony but the tories are determined she should work even if the nurse assessing her has to lie on the assessment.

So if you say you can walk for ten minutes without pain she writes down an hour. Then at the end tells you its not what you can`t do its what you can. If there`s a God I seriously hope these arsehole doctors and nurses along with Cameron and Osborne all end up fucking paraplegic

BTW my mum would love to be able to work. She earned ?300 a week working and now gets about ?400 a month I think and she`s in constant fear of losing that and wondering how she`ll cope with her loan and cards

Apparently terminal cancer patients who are judged to have more than 6 months to live are regularly being judged fit for work.

I can understand completely why so many disabled people are genuinely terrified of this regime and the booing of George Osborne reflects decent people's reaction.

You always blame the government for everything. Why don't you blame the cheats and scroungers who've been abusing the system for years. Where I used to live people thought I was nuts for going out to work. There was a woman who had been claiming disability allowance for 15 years. She used to go jogging and she actually started offering to teach her mates to fuck the system for a fee! All you lefties live in dreamworld, you blame anyone apart from yourselves for the UK going down the toilet, it was your lot who are to blame.
