Glad to see this on TV.Shows the true brutality of war and fatal injuries incurred by a couple of our lads as it happened.Pointless waste of life and our politicians should be ashamed of themselves.Takes programmes like this to make people realise that the bollocks spouted by politicians and senior officers is just that.Our people should be nowhere near the fucking shit hole that is Afghanistan and the deaths of these brave lads is nothing short of a disgrace.Thousands of families have been devastated by this shitty conflict.When we get out, the place will revert to what it always will be.. a fly ridden toilet.Sorry but as far as I am concerned the whole thing has been a total waste of good blood.

in September 1880 when General Roberts army smashed the Afghans with
a loss of 40 British dead and upto 1200 of the enemy.....
War is always ugly, dying in battle always sad, dying for such a pathetic
cause as the current (4th) Afghan War is tantamount to obscene. You are
right to call Afghanistan today a "fucking shit hole", but it was not always
the case. But it is a war that, under current circumstances, we cannot win
and to waste our boys lives there is sickening.

No foreign army has ever won a war in Afghanistan. Alexander the Great couldn't do it, the USSR couldn't do it, we couldn't do it before so no idea why anyone assumed that this time would be different. Eleven years and what have we come to? British/Allied soldiers being killed by the Afghans we are supposed to be training/helping.
