Apart from his well known rolls, I first saw him in Waiting for Godot in '71.
A great character actor and a great character.

This news came as quite a surprise to me because I'd thought that he'd already died some years ago.

He was great in those Royle Family Specials. When he came to Dave and Denise's flat and he'd brought a bottle - It was half empty, had the lable on upside down and still had the optic stuck to the top! Brilliantly funny!

Yes I remember that. Twiggy was a great supporting character and GH played him brilliantly.
