As long as file sharers see it as their divine right to download and watch stuff without paying for it then they leave themselves wide open for variants of money collecting agencies to step in and find legal loop holes to exploit.

The download everything you want has hit epic proportions so it stands to reason that ventures like this were inevitable

Are these schemes much different from those agencies calling you everyday on behalf of PPI claims and injury lawyers 4 u who insist you have had an injury in recent years when you have not

Is it right then? No but then nor is piracy.

I would applaud Jims noble efforts crusading for the innocent victims if he could point me to any links of these so called innocent victims of speculative invoicing.

If I was a "victim" to such a scheme I would be all over the place talking about it

As for using other peoples routers, Im not sure if that is really an excuse now when they are all automatically sold with pasword security features in place in place to prevent your neighbour piggy backing on your bandwidth.

Except it's the UPloaders who they're going after, is it not?

Thats the tricky part Eric

File sharers are uploading and downloading at the same time if the file they have downloaded is still on their torrent client.

Thats how file sharing works.

I dont think it mentioned that in Jim Slips link to the "speculative invoicing handbook"

You are in direct violation of copyright infringement law by the very nature of file sharing
