Hi All
I keep getting a message when I log on facebook that I have too many accounts and they need to be deactivated.
I have one for me,one for the wife and one for my son.
Surely this is fairly normal,does anyone know what I'm meant to do?

Are you using the same e-mail address for all accounts? If you are, they should have their own e-mail addresses.

no mate,we have separate e-mail addresses for all the accounts,my boy has been on it for about 3 years,my wife about a year and me about 6 months.
Over the last 24 hours I keep getting a message saying you have too many accounts deactivate one.

Have you had an account, forgot the password for logging in and then created another duplicate account using the same e-mail address in the past?

If you're using different names, passwords and e-mail addresses for each account facebook treats you all as different people. They have to, otherwise no one would be able to login on other people's laptops and public PCs.

No.we have all got different e-mail addresses and user accounts but I still keep getting the message you have too many facebook accounts please deactivate your facebook account.Very weird and very annoying.

Do you get the same message when logging in on another PC?

I have'nt tryed,it's probably something to do with having three facebook acounts at one ip address.
But how many households must have two.three or even four different facebook addresses at one house?

Your IP address doesn't make a difference. Imagine how many people log into their facebook profiles in big offices, libraries, schools, hotels and universities.

This is all very weird.

A shot in the dark but try deleting all your cookies, remembered passwords and internet history (make backups where required). Then try logging in again. If that doesn't work try a different browser.
