Julian Assange loses appeal.

As expected, Julian Assange has lost his appeal to stop his extraditin to Sweden for alleged sex offences. Looks like the Yanks are pulling the strings here. Even the judgement itself looks dodgy hence the lawyers appealing again and of course once Assange is shipped to Sweden, the Yanks will be able to get their hands on him and finally silence this, "Embarrassement".
There was a time when this once great country would have given someone like Assange refuge from tyranny. Alas, even our courts are controlled by American spooks now.

He's not a Muslim hate preacher though Jim. He'd be fine if he was.

1. Is the UK government trying to extradite Abu Qatada to Sweden then? I thought it was Jordan.
2. Are civil liberties and a right to a fair trial more developed in Jordan than Sweden?

Yeah, I know what you mean.
When I last did the Glasgow Empire, I told the one about
"Have you heard about the white rapist who got sent down 2 months after the rape? Pity he wasn't a Muslim kebab shop owner or he would have been slipping a spicy portion where he shouldn't for years".
No-one laughed. Surprising that.
