Setting the record straight once and for all

Post by David Johnson »

After pointing out Jim Slip's shameful, disgusting, libellous statements on this forum about me e.g. "you would have been delighted had the Asian paedophile gangs been left to roam unchecked" even though I had clearly stated on a number of occasions that it was great news that the Asian paedophiles had been tried and found guilty, I want to challenge other lies and misrepresentation put out by Jim Slip over a period of the last two years on this forum.

Over the last 2 years, Jim Slip has repeatedly posted a huge number of ranting, rambling, foaming at the mouth, seemingly edge of a nervous breakdown posts about my political views, particularly when I have the temerity to disagree with him.

These posts have regularly labelled me as a Communist, a Marxist, a Nazi, a Stalinist, a brainwashed New Labour supporter who always supports whatever Blair did, someone who would keep tabs on the people on this forum and who would support the Labour party closing down this forum etc etc. These posts have been made irrespective of what I have posted in contradiction of Slip's posts.

In short they are lies and misrepresentation. I set the record straight once and for all

I repeat, my views on the Labour party posted on this forum already, in summary, are as follows:

1. I regard Tony Blair as a war criminal re. Iraq and I would welcome his arrest and trial.
2. Labour made a disastrous mistake on immigration by allowing Polish nationals to enter the UK when other major nations put in restrictions for a number of years.
3. Labour could have done far more on curbing immigration in general, regulating the City, improving pensions, supporting manufacturing etc etc.
4. As I have already stated many times, Labour went far too far in restricting civil liberties.
5. The Labour party that got elected in 1997 in many ways were Tory Lite. They had given up many of the long term Labour principles in order to get elected.
6. There was far too much brown nosing of the Murdoch empire.

These are just a few of the issues with the Labour government. I see no point in repeating the above stuff as "balance" every time I write a post critical of the current coalition government.

Having said that, in terms of the major parties, I think Labour are the best of a very bad lot. That is my view and people are obviously welcome to disagree and pick up on points that I've made and state why they disagree. That is what forums are about.

But to consistently lie about my views, misrepresent them and portray me as an enemy of the forum, as Jim Slip has done over the last two years is just that, lies, misrepresentation and stupidity.

I want to make that absolutely clear to you, Jim Slip.

I think Jimslip is one of those guys who will never admit to being a tory but will always vote for them when he gets in the ballot box.

Give it up mate!

It?s quite clear you have an agenda.

And don?t start trying to engage me in one of your interminable argumentative ?debates?. I could better spend my time in relatively rational discourse with next door?s Tom cat.

I have asked for this profile to be deleted.
