So just a season after dropping out of the Premiership with a higher points score than the three that are getting relegated this season, the mighty Blackpool (just like Barcelona but not quite as good, just like Man City without Sheik Mansour), are back to Wemblee, Wemblee.
Spot the odd team out in the playoffs, West Ham, Cardiff, Birmingham City and Blackpool. Three very big city teams and little Blackpool. Take a bow, manager Ian Holloway.
A typical Blackpool performance tonight at Birmingham. Three nil up over the tie and coasting and then it's two quick goals for City and nailbiting time as Pool hang on.
Realistically, Blackpool should get a tanking from West Ham in the play-off final. THey beat Blackpool 4-0 at Upton Park and 4-1 at Bloomfield Road.
But, but, but, this is the 11th. playoff game in a row that Blackpool have won, beating sides along the way that "experts" did not expect them to beat.
SO either way a great day out at Wemblee for the fans.
Live the dream! !footie! !footie! !footie!
