How queer...

Post by Sam Slater »

It seems recent studies indicate that a good proportion of homophobic individuals are actually repressed homosexuals. Gays remind them of the guilt and shame they feel for their own nature, which manifests as hatred, anger and prejudice.

Many gay friends of mine have talked about supposed 'tough men' who convey their distrust and hatred of gays, only to be sucked off by a gay man after a few pints. I always thought they were exaggerating or a little bit of wishful thinking going on......hmmm.

Repressing your sexuality must be horrible and
over the centuries gays have probably been
demeaned and ridicules more than any other
demographic in society. I know we've taken
enormous strides against homophobia but we must not
resign ourselves to the assumption it can't be
severed completely.

In the not so distant past my past I think
stupid homophobes would shout me down.

Gays have fought for their rights and
almost everyone today is far more welcoming than
yesterday. But there is more work to be done.

When you watch gay porn your penis doesn't become engorged. You do, however, change colour, start bobbing your head up and down and do a little dance.

On a similar note, a few years back me and Ms Liz went into a tiny shop in the middle of nowhere in Cornwall, the guy that owned it was a great Asian lad, the shelves were overflowing with gay asian porn...it was bizzare, but true, we had a coffee, made our excuses and went on our way..c' est le vie.

What a load of bollocks. That's like saying that white racists are really black underneath. Some people don't like homosexuals, some do and some couldn't give a monkey's either way. If someone makes an un-PC remark about homosexuals, it doesn't mean they are really homosexual themselves.

As Kenneth Williams once remarked, "The love that dare not speak its name now cannot stop shouting the odds from the rooftops."

By the way, what does "In the not so distant past my past" mean? Was it something Dan Quayle said?

Never having watched perverts at it I'll have to take you're explanation as it is. Unless someone else disagrees of course.

I don't see what the original poster is hoping to achieve.

'Don't critisize us or we'll say you're one too' isn't much of an argument in favour of homosexuality is it?

No it isn't because you cannot be black underneath. It's impossible. It is perfectly possible to feel ashamed of one's nature, which manifests as hatred to people who remind you of that shame, however.
If someone makes an un-PC remark about homosexuals, it doesn't mean they are really homosexual themselves.
I never said it did. I said 'a good portion'. And an un-PC remark doesn't make one homophobic, which is who I was specifically talking about.
