Well done the Standard

Well done the London Evening Standard for not only ridiculing the two plod who turned up to remove the picture from the gallery for not even knowing the Greek myth of Leda and the Swan, but also for publishing the picture in this evening's edition. An awful lot more people have seen it now. They really should be done for wasting their own time sometimes.

Steady Terry, dont forget that the swan in the picture is Zeus, KING of the gods, in animal form.
I hope plod dont know about this picture in the National Gallery, a copy of a lost Michaelangelo painting, otherwise they will probably waste more of their time and look even more preposterous than they already do.
Have to say I prefer the pic in the Standard. Bit too much meat on this Leda for my tastes, but it takes all sorts.

I think that picture would have been better if, behind the swan, the Queen was leering over it with a knife and fork in hand.
Still, out of all the birds the Greeks at least picked a male bird that does actually have a penis.
