No it ain't the name of a Bluebird film.

Apparently a contract has been signed between Virgin Care and NHS Surrey whereby 8 community hospitals and all sexual health services and prison health care services will now be delivered by Virgin Care.

Even better news is that the 2,500 staff who currently work for the NHS will be employed, not by Virgin Care but by a "social enterprise" called VH. Apparently the advantage of this is that Virgin Care don't have to bother with the messiness of employing these people directly - the state can carry on paying their NHS pensions whilst Virgin Care concentrate on coining it.

Blair had a part to play in the privatisation of health care, but I suspect we are about to see the "nationalise the losses, e.g pensions, privatise the profits" increasingly dominate the NHS in England from now on.

Wonder if it is possible to get a Virgin Train ride, expensive at half the price, to drop you off near your local Virgin Care Sexual Health Services experience, looked down on by a picture of everyone's favourite entrepreneur, Richard Branson?

It's not just sexual health care the grinning chimp's empire has taken on, it's normal health care as well, pretty soon you will be born in a virgin hospital, go to a virgin school, courtesy of virgin travel, then after a brief workout in a virgin gym, you can visit a virgin restaurant, and pay for it all with your virgin credit card.
I personally can't think of a more odious individual.

I wonder sometimes if people just think those who have made fortunes have suddenly turned evil. I'd like to think Richard Branson is a good man who appears to be enjoying his success.

It wont be long before you see that grinning, bearded fool standing next to a coffin, advertising, "The Virgin Body-Shop",

" We take the dreariness out of death folks and watch out for our 2 for 1 deal and if you've got the clap, we'll sort that out to, SO COME ON DOWN!!!"

Sadly Terry to me yes he is, I have some personal reasons for this as well, I think you can make a judgement by the way someone behaves, I can't for personal reasons explain this on an open forum, but putting aside MY personal feelings, anyone who is as self obsessed with his own publicity, and bats for any side that will enrich them, is a wrong 'un in my book, Branson's not the only one though, I would never buy anything that was remotely related to Branson, Green, Sugar or Murdoch, and never have. I would like to point out that I wish none of these individuals any harm, I simply don't like any of them.

My view is that National Health Care should not depend on the market, where the motivation is to extract the money out of peoples' purses and wallets, and transfer it into the bank accounts of shareholders.

If only more people knew how much money was squandered by NHS purchasing policies and outsourcing.

I used to work for a company that that supplied the NHS and the longer I was there the more determined I was to get a job in a different sector.
I know getting out solved nothing but two close friends both commented after a couple of months I was a happier person.
