century of censorship

Being a great one for anniversaries, you might like to know that the
BBFC is 100 years old in October (actually it started censoring British
movies on Jan 1st 2013 but came into existence slightly earlier). The
first national censorship board was in Sweden a couple of years earlier.
And the first thing the official censor did there was ban any film in
which ******** was broken - in case it encouraged servants and the
lower classes to do more of the same !! Reformers, bluenoses, folk
who tell you what will and will not deprave you (but never affect them),
the "thought police" remain with us !!! Hypocrites the lot of them !

In honour of this celebration can we have various words in Franks post edited please mods?

How you doing Frank? I know we've kicked each other in the nuts in the past but it was rather pleasant meeting you at Venus and hope to do so again later this year...Hopefully with Jim and Lara in tow again too.

Can we delete this post while we're at it please mods?
