Weekends

I work at least one weekend a month but usually two. On occasion I've worked the whole month all the way through. Don't get me wrong, I get well paid for the extra hours, but I really look forward to my weekends off.
It gives me a chance to get a few things done, have a wee swally and hopefully a little bit of relaxation.
I just wondered if the unemployed look forward to the weekend as much as me or if it's just another day for them.

"I just wondered if the unemployed look forward to the weekend as much as me or if it's just another day for them".
If this is the stuff that fills your brain at weekends, I suspect you are better off working every weekend.

Quite right David, but somebody has to pay for the unemployed. I'm sure the Labour Party could do it better.

I don't work but I look forward to the weekends, I'd think most people are that way, it is good to chill out with a few drinks on the weekend it is some kind of a goal I guess, gives one a bench mark or a routine in life.

I don't work but still look forward to the weekend, it gives me chance to go to the pub and drink alongside those who have worked hard all week knowing that iv done nothing to earn my pints but still enjoying them the same as those who have been grafting, i fair chuckle to myself that they are no better offf socially than me and its always nice to be able to stay in bed monday morning hungover and think of those same people having to get up to get back to the grindstone, sometimes if i spend all week drinking though the days just all become a blur and i spend all of my alcoholics allowance which isn't good...oh well, life is there to waste and im usually wasted.
