I see the popular TV series has won a pile of Golden Globes in the USA
and is now one of the USA and Britain`s most popular drama shows....
Yet TV historian, Simon Schama, yesterday labelled it as "servile" and
misrepresenting the Edwardian period and 1st World War. He admits,
though, that he grew up hating toffs.
Like Mr Blair, Mr Schama is supposedly left wing and makes a mint of
money on the US lecture circuit, despite being British....
So what do you think of "Downton Abbey" ?

I think Schama is a twatt.
Nothing has come near to Upstairs Downstairs. I think. So, that's what I think of Downton.

Well I've never watched it, but it seems to be popular, and it shows what they can do when they try. But then they come up with 'Hole in the Wall'.
