I must say that 'pound' shops are seriously good value, so good in fact that you often pay even less than that. I was in a pound shop in Church Street, Paddington, today (a ten minute walk from where I work) in my hunt for some cards. Someone said to me this place does 'four for a pound', I went there and discovered you get four PACKS for a pound. 40 cards, and they are high quality, for one pound. That's 2.5 pence each. Super value or what? Sadly stamps are still expensive. lol.

There's nothing more that gets me OUT of the mood of Christmas and that's queueing for, buying, and writing out Christmas cards. That's what Mums, Sisters and Girlfriends are for!

Poundshops are the only ones doing any good in the high street at the moment, that must tell you something about the state of the economy !sad!

I can't understand why people spend 46 p on a stamp and send a crappy card that's obviously from some selection pack, very thin, poor font etc etc.Makes me feel the sender is a tightwad and knowing the senders better they are not!

As I said, a lot of the selction pack cards are very high quality. I was pleasantly surprised with these ones. If they had been the low quality crappy ones I wouldnt have bought them.

Why not do what I do. Simply store the Xmas cards that YOU have received last year, Tipex out the greetings and then re-send them to friends and family this year!! They'll love you for your new policy of re-cycling and you'll get a pat on the back from your local eco-warriors!!wink!
