This crap has now finished and Saturday and Sunday night's on ITV1 will revert back to having interesting things in the schedule again. The people who won the show will now be worked to death for the next couple of years for a modest wage, whilst the people behind them will rake in most of the cash. I wonder if the people/person who won it has any idea what is going to happen to them. Anyone else glad this shit has now ended?

Nah, just saw that it was the final tonight. I dont know why they have the final anyway - it suggests the runner-up will not have the same career as the winner. Sometimes they do even better. I only know this because the acts remain prolific in wider media for many months subsequent to the show.

That'll be the day. Dream on. (Which, to change the subject slightly, was a pretty good comedy from the 80s with an above average nipple count.)

According the press today the girlband who won it, Little Mix, are about to become seriously rich. Good luck to them, but I suspect it will be the people behind them who will have the last laugh - and who will really clean up financially.

Not really an X-Factor fan, but good luck to Little Mix. From what I've seen they appear reasonably pleasant and humble. Even if they just get a small cut of the ?s, then it's still better than most will ever see.
Sure, there are puppet masters in the background creaming the profits but how is that any different to many other industries?
