Today I must solemly report the gravest of news! In recent research it has been found that 3 out of 4 British oysters are infected with Norovirus.

I would advise fellow forumites that there is a clear and present danger and to proceed with the utmost caution whilst dining on oysters and Champagne at the present time. It would probably be prudent to limit your intake of oysters to a maximum of a dozen a day.!wink!

I prefer the working-class alternative anyway. Nothing wrong with nice, fresh mussels in white wine sauce!

I thought this when i saw a news clip the other day, in the summer we went to Mersea Island, Essex with friends to try out their Blackwater Oysters which are sold worldwide.
John was safe because he hates Champagne & Oysters so he stuck to the fish & chips & beer lol!
