2012 - Israel attacks Iran

So, fellow followers of Middle East machinations, its soon the end of 2011
and customary to make predictions for the New Year. A pretty likely one
is that Israel will make a pre-emptive strike, pleading self-defence, on
Iran sometime after March and before the end of 2012.
How so ? Well, an attack this winter is unlikely due to the low cloud
and fog that hampers air defence - and offensive - operations in the
winter months. The Israeli Cabinet are still finalising the scenario.
How do we know this ? Because a) Ben Netanyahu has brought his
long time opponent, dove-like Ehud Barak into his plans, and Barak -
the guy who tried to be nice to the Palestinians yonks ago - might be a
dove but he is also an ex-Mossad hero and an Israeli patriot...so when
these two guys cuddle up something is afoot. b) Israel is now refusing
to tell the USA of its plans and, even further, saying it will not give the
USA warning of a pre-emptive strike, thus causing jitters in Washington.
Something, is afoot in the Middle East, my friends, and when it comes it
will be nasty, mark my words.

What worries me is the absolute liklehood of the use of tactical nuclear weapons to halt the massive retaliation of over 1,000,000 men, that the crazed Iranian regime will launch against any attack on them. The Americans will have certainly mapped and targetted all of Irans missile systems long ago and there will be hundreds of Patriot missiles ready to repel any missile attack on Israel. The Patriots have come a very long way since the first Gulf War.

The nutball religious zealots of Iran mixed with the machismo personality of the Arabs, will truely believe they can repel a massive attack by the Americans and Israel with good old men and machines. However, they will be utterly destroyed by technology. American forces are crap ar fighting in urban warfare, however launching hi fech aerial attack and flattening a whole army , airforce and navy, is easily within their means.

It will be afterwards where the problems start! I still believe that the attack of Libya was a diversion solely for organising and centralising a massive attack force by NATO in that region. Many of our boys will possibly die defending Israel.

Scary and all too realistic. Not sure America will attack Iran as they would block the Straits of Hormuz and as a result buttfuck a large part of the global oil supply....Hey Hank it cost me $40 to put 20 gallons in my F150...not good for votes...

If Israel goes Nuclear they deserve everything they get and which nation would risk their troops in a radiation zone? Fancy an NBC suit in 120 degrees desert. You would die of dehydration after a few minutes of heavy exertion.

I don't know when that map was drawn, but there is zero chance of Israel using Turkish airspace, the two countries are now at daggers drawn following the killing of nine Turks on the ship going to Gaza.
