thoughts on incest

I see today that a brother and sister have not been imprisoned by a
leniant judge in Scotland for having sex in an elevator together. He
felt that their lives had been destroyed by the incident (thanks to our
wonderful modern media).
Daily Mail readers comments seem generally to downplay the incident.
Maybe in 20 years it will be like homosexuals fucking ie acceptable to
most.
What do the folk of porn world think - is it acceptable to have sex with
a close relative ?

I remember reading a document which I think had been authored by the Association of Chief Police Officers. One of the sections looked at offences and at mitigating factors in terms of sentencing. One of the mitigating or attenuating factors in relation to incest was a term which is almost as distasteful as the offence itself. The term was 'staleness' ie no prospect of pregnancy.

A former boss of mine served on the Children's Panel (a sort of mini court for kids) This was only about 7 years ago and he said that incest was quite rife in some areas. The father worked away from home for most of the week and if he came home and it was the wrong time of the month, then the eldest daughter had to take the place of his wife. Even the children accepted this as it was the way they had been brought up.I'll also add that these people are avid churchgoers. I remember asking a person from one of these particular communities about a criminal offence he had committed and his reply was "I only broke mans' law and not Gods Law) I'm not well read on the Bible so I don't know if incest is against the law in the eyes of the Bible. Any way many of these little churches interpret the Bible to suit their own ends.

Sure it is physically impossible to fancy your sister. Your brain doesn't work that way,you know deep down its completely wrong and rightly so. Im not saying lock up people who do this, but its plain wrong no less.

Not so. I've read several stories in various newspapers when children have been separated and adopted . They then met later in life and fell in love. Nature then takes it's course.
In the case I was referring to, these people have been brought up to believe that they are doing nothing wrong but I would suspect that the practice would not be so common now. Many of these people would not allow TV's or radios in the house and the only thing that would be read was the Bible.

There are very valid biological reasons for the prohibition on incest as it can lead to a higher probability of congenital birth defects.

I totally agree with what you say. But if you check the amount of children born with congenital defects in some Asian communities in this country due to their arranged marriages to close relatives, why is that allowed?

I know the case you are referring to as it has been fairly well publicised here. The brother & sister in the case are both unemployed & by all accounts anti-social & heavy drinkers. Coming from a poor family. This is absolutely no excuse for their actions. But it seems both were pretty drunk on the platform of a railway station. Went into an elevator then had sex. They then went back to the platform only to return to the elevator 5 minutes later & had sex a second time. Which afterwards the brother then gave the sister ?20. It was insinuated that this was a payment for sex which they both strongly deny. But its been front page story, with photo's of them on the platform & in the elevator (not engaged in any sexual acts). And it seems to have split the family, judging by the storylines. Neither of them are being spoken to by their family. The male was living in a Homeless unit, though has now disappeared. The female has been assaulted & had her windows smashed & door kicked in & she's now had to move. And her fiance (incredulously she was engaged) has seperated from her. They both deny that payment was any motivation for the act. Or that it had happened at any other time other than this time. And both say it was a regretable mistake which will never happen again. One hopefully has to believe them.
Though as someone looking at the story with no personal knowledge of either of the two defendants. I have to say, both of them look fairly backward. Certainly they don't have much in the way of a decent education. Both abuse alcohol & perhaps other substances. And not to be unfairly nasty, both of them look kind of inbred.
I think the majority of people (or at least sane people) abhors any kind of abuse towards children. And still this remains the ultimate taboo. One which i think isn't even a taboo, its just purely wrong!!!! Taken that away, it then leaves Bestiality & Incest next in the line of extreme taboos. While i have no personal liking of either of them. And never once have i considered an animal in any sexual content or fashion. At least someone being attracted to an animal in my opinion is not as bad as a sibling. Maybe i'm totally wrong, but there is a bond between brother & sister, father, daughter, mother, son etc that just can't and shouldn't be crossed. I understand you can feel deep love for your family members but this is totally different from sexual attractiveness towards a family member & i don't think that will ever be accepted, not even in 20 years frankthring. Though i do know science does back up that you can be extremely attracted & aroused sexually by an estranged sibling, such as being adopted at a young age & then finding one another, but that is completely different entirely, than growing up with someone as your sister & then having a sexual relationship with them. Though still just as illegal. On a final point, i don't see bestiality being accepted in 20 years time either!

Also makes me shudder.Something has gone very wrong when this sort of thing happens. If there is abuse, particularly of a youngster then throw away the key.For adults then let the judge decide who hopefully will have more facts than HM Gutter Press.
