I think you are completely wrong. If Huhne is charged and found guilty, he will be done for a conspiring to pervert the course of justice charge. This is often a jail offence.

If he is found guilty, he will be toast as far as the Cabinet is concerned and this is beyond question.

THe only issue is whether a charge will be brought.
