Went along to see this at the cinema.

If you only like flash, bang, wallop films with loads of CGI then you will hate this.

On the other hand, if you enjoy films that draw you into its world, with excellent acting and a plot that you have to actually pay attention to, then this could be one for you.

Cheers

Watched the original quite recently. Very good. Around the same time I read Graham Greene's 'The Human Factor' which covers some of the same territory. The Greene book is very good in my view so if you've got a taste for this milieu then it's worth getting hold of.

I felt a bit lukewarm about the new film but i'm more enthusiastic now and will see it.

Yeah, it felt a bit strange looking at Gary Oldman playing the part of Smiley instead of Alec Guinness who made it his own.

But Oldman did a pretty good job I think.

Thanks for the tip on the Graham Greene.

Thanks for the heads up I was a bit unsure whether it was going to be any good or not.

Rewatched The Conversation starring Gene Hackman last night, great great film recommend to everyone.
