Choppy waters ahead

The unemployment figures were announced today for May to July. They were the worst figures for 2 years even though this period typically sees an increase in employment with businesses in the tourist industry taking on staff for the summer season.
Cameron told us last autumn that Britain, under the Tories sound economic planning, was out of the recession. Since then we have had rises in unemployment, frequent revisions downwards of the growth forecast and missed targets for deficit reduction as the Treasury's tax take plummets. Whatever the pain is doing it aint working.
Its been interesting to see that in the first six months in government, every single Cabinet minister started their spiel about measures in their area with "Of course, all of this is the fault of the Labour government and Gordon Brown that left us with the worst, largest, biggest, most catastrophic etc etc etc."
Now they have been in power for nearly 18 months and when the government's economic planning is clearly impacting on and moulding the British economy, any problems are down to the "difficult global situation".
The million 18-24 year olds out of work deserve better.
Cheers
