Still doing a shift at 85 years old. Started her speech tonight at the State dinner in Gaelic.
What a pro!
Prince Philip is 90 next month. Hopefully he's been easing off on the Paddy jokes.
Cheers

I think this is great, we've had the Good Friday Agreement, the IRA disarming (but largely because Irish America told them to in 2005), the historic Ireland/England rugby match at the home of the GAA, Croke Park, in 2005, and now this. Most people in Ireland, politicans and the public, were in favour of the Queen coming - the despondants totalled about 100 in number in Dublin yesterday and today. This really is a new dawn in the relationship between our two countries.

Total waste of money. Ireland is totally bankrupt and owes us and the rest of Europe billions but can waste money on this state visit. Forget the politics, this is an excess. She is probably more interested in the visit to the stud farm than anything else.

"She is probably more interested in the visit to the stud farm than anything else."
Given the close family friend and cousin, Mountbatten was blown to bits by the IRA in Ireland, she probably had an interest other than just the stud farm.

Still no apology from the Irish government for those Westlife albums!

There was an expression of regret about Westlife though, and a statement that we cannot change the past, only the future.
