Great result for Arsenal tonight i did fear the worse when they went 1 down, but credit where its due stook at it and was rewarded with a fine result. And a great match to how football should be played.

Messi missed two one on ones and maybe had a good goal disallowed. Arsenal have improved but I just feel Barcelona will be too much for them in the Camp Nou.

Would be fantastic if all four English teams made it through.

A great result but not sure they can survive the away leg..Nou Camp is a killing zone.

Excellent game with football as it should be played.

Wenger is a genius. Okay, Arsenal have not been as successful as Man United and Chelsea over the last few years. But if you have a look at net spend at football clubs, Arsenal's must be far lower than Chelsea, Man City, United and Liverpool in the last decade.

He is a genius at getting players for relatively low amounts and bringing them on in the Arsenal way of playing football.

Cheers

Yep I agree but now the hard part of the task happens, going to the Camp Nou and trying to get a result !

If they hadn't conceded an away goal I'd have said the Arse would be in with a decent shout in the away leg. But I can't see Barca NOT scoring at least one in the return.

Having said that, they could grind out a draw which would of course be enough.

And I think you can only use the term "English club" loosely these days. Most clubs (certainly the "big" clubs in the Premiership) are no longer the clubs they once were.

If Arsenal score one at the Nou Camp, Barcelona need to score three to avoid extra time...

Arsenal are the only major English team not in the hands of foreigners - yes, I know Stan Kroenke and Alexander Usmanov are major shareholders but they don't control the club.
