Berlusconi's luck runs out?

Looks like the quiet, shy, retiring Italian prime minister, Berlusconi is going to have to use all his escapoligist skills for this one.

He has been indicted to stand trial in April on charges of paying for sex with an under-age girl and abuse of power. Needless to say, Berlusconi's argument is that he has been fitted up. Mr Berlusconi denies paying for sex with Karima El Mahroug when she was 17.

He also rejects claims that he abused his power by seeking her release when she was detained in another case. He has called the accusations "groundless" and dismissed the case as a farce.

Mr Berlusconi does, however, acknowledge that he called the police while she was being held on suspicion of theft. He said he was doing a favour for the then-Egyptian leader, Hosni Mubarak, because Mr Berlusconi was told the girl was Mr Mubarak's granddaughter.

As you can see from the pic below, other than the fact that he thought she was Mubarak's granddaughter there is no other possible reason for his interest. !wink!

If he does get sent down, I look forward to the Hollywood film. Anyone know if Danny de Vito is available?

Cheers

So he's a randy little billionaire Italian who can buy practically anything he wants. I think all the hoo haa is plain old jealousy.
At least he aint fucking little boys like a lot of the Italian clergy. Hypocritical perverted bastards that they are.

If they were to make a film of it, and if he hadn't unfortunately died a few months ago, I think Leslie Neilsen of Airplane fame would have been the ideal actor to play Berlusconi.

Can you imagine that?

He also has another 3 court cases coming up about his financial dealings.

The guy needs his own dedicated line on Crimestoppers.

Pity about Nielsen. I could definitely see a Silvio 1, 2 and 3 to rival Rocky where instead of the fight, it's a court appearance.

It's got everything. Political intrigue, hookers, under-age sex, Mafia connections, plastic surgery, orgies, ex glamour model Cabinet ministers, TV news read by topless presenters, great Roman architecture in the backdrop.

Maybe we could get Pfizer to sponsor us with a tie-in to Viagra. How the little man fought and beat all the odds whilst screwing any attractive woman with a pulse in the 17-21 age range.

Cheers

I still think Leslie Neilsen, he was a fantastic comic actor, the best I think.

Berlusconi is a joke, so who better to play him?
